Pierre Roustan: a Wordsmith After Stephen King’s Black Heart?

That may just be for this new master of words Pierre Roustan, at the very least of a twisted nature (like Mr. King). Horror authors are an interesting bunch of literary geniuses capable of tapping into the darkest reaches of their souls and pulling out some of the most chilling experiences we could ever read on paper. One would think a horror author would have to live a life of utter turmoil and fear to find those demons in full force….

Pierre Roustan Has Definitely Found Those Demons….

And they’re not kindly. As a new author arriving on the scene, he holds the promise of a talent not hindered by commercialism, but with a flair reminiscent of stylishness a la “Blade,” “The Matrix” and other action brands out there. Pierre Roustan is a modern author with the enigmatic flair of our literary legends: Bram Stoker, Mary Shelley, Edgar Allan Poe…. And, of course, Stephen King (who Pierre Roustan proclaims is among his top inspirations).

But enough of the breakdown of the wordsmith himself. Pierre Roustan is an emerging author of the literary industry, fresh on the scene with his debut back in December of 2015, THE CAIN LETTERS, a vampire thriller really unlike anything you’ve ever read — and that’s Pierre Roustan authorbecause it pulls from several themes.

It’s an adventure novel. It’s a mystery. It’s a religious thriller. It’s a psychological horror piece. It’s a techno-drama. It’s movie monster literature. It’s all of that rolled up into one tight little package of words, and boy does it explode on the page. Seamless, sweeping, dramatic. More importantly, it’s a novel about a heroine echoing the sentiments of one Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor and even Selene in all their feminine glory, breaking the mold and yet somehow still retaining normal sex appeal.

This is a story about Alexandra Glade, vampire hunter, facing her own demons, as well as the demons of the world, the revenants of the undead searching for a certain book later to be known as the “Cain Letters,” documenting the account of the true ‘Father of the Damned,’ a man by the name of Cain (yes, the same Cain from the Bible).

Interested, Yet? You Should Be. Pierre Roustan Doesn’t Disappoint.

Think Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code” meets Indiana Jones, meets Dracula, meets “Underworld,” and you have a slick thriller with a recipe for car chases, chills, cuts, bruises, intrigue, philosophy and the demonic fire of Hell bleeding from the pages.

You can tell by the cover, though, that this is a true debut of a hardcore horror fanatic. But guess what: THE CAIN LETTERS is the first book in a series — and apparently Pierre Roustan, our newest master of the horrific written word, has already written two more to follow up, with a final fourth in the works! CHIMERA FALLS, book 2 of the Divine Covenant series, will actually debut on Father’s Day of 2016, so be on the lookout for it. And the cover’s pretty epic.

We won’t spoil much as far as what this dark fantasy’s all about, but one thing’s for sure, you can find out via these links:

Seriously…. Do it now. You might not like the whole book-reading thing, but after reading a few of the reviews on this spine-tingling ordeal of a novel, you might think you’re watching a film designed to force the hairs on the back of your neck to stand on end. Pierre Roustan will be around in the literary business for a long time, we think.
